Why Beeswax, Palm or Soy is better than Paraffin for burning
candles.
Paraffin goes through a
petroleum refining process. Paraffin smokes and does not
burn clean. The smoke leaves black soot in the air,
which we then breathe.
Beeswax doesn't burn
as black soot. Beeswax candles are left in their natural
honey color. There are no artificial color additives.
These candles have a natural pleasant smell, but also
work well with the addition of pure essential oils.
Vegetable based waxes are made from different bases such
as jojoba beans, palm wax and soybeans. They burn clean
and are long lasting. They, too, are a good alternative
to paraffin.
Bayberry wax is made from boiling berries from the
bayberry bush. They are sage green in color, have a
spicy aroma and are expensive. Look for authentic vs.
synthetic fragrance when buying bayberry candles.
